Today we announced that we are teaming up with Sprint to deliver a second-line service for the enterprise. Sprint will use our patented technology and communications platform to deliver the first offering of its kind – a simple-to-manage carrier-grade second line for BYOD (bring your own device) and COPE (corporate owned, personally enabled) programs. The new service will work no matter what carrier the customer uses for their primary phone number, and across all wireless devices.
The demand for BYOD continues to rise – according to the CEB, as many as 70% of American employees are currently using their personal phones for work. As a result, businesses are faced with a variety of challenges in managing these programs, including security, cost, resource and device management. The Movius technology makes this much easier, allowing for the complete separation of mobile identities, increasing convenience for employees and boosting productivity for businesses. Our cloud-based platform helps businesses to control costs and data security with company-owned numbers and real-time analytics of corporate mobile data, text and voice usage.
As you can imagine, we’re thrilled about this opportunity.
Of the deal, Sprint Business President Jan Geldmacher said, “Movius’ patented technology and cloud-based platform will bring incredible value to our customers. We believe a second line on devices has enormous benefit to both business and their employees.”
We echo this thinking. What a fantastic way to kick off the new year!
We expect the service to launch in the first half of 2017. Stay tuned here for more details.
